FORMULA 1 IN SCHOOLS
WORLD FINALS 2013
USA, TEXAS, AUSTIN
Design a car and race. Present it aided by pit booth, portfolio and verbal presentation. Market and manage the team. Compete Regionally, Nationally and Internationally.
Since we focused mostly on testing, we thought about some possibilities how to receive better results from the tests. We came up with some interesting ideas for simulating the drive.
The entire design of our car is based on tests. By comparing the results after verifying different parts we could evaluate if the change improved the car or nor. We mostly used the VWT but RWT, High speed cameras and thermal imaging cameras too.
We work and participate as a team. If we would have to work without one of us, we would not be where we are now. As a team we redress stressful times together and try to accomplish every part of our work on the possible highest standard.
Teamwork became a much bigger part of the challenge than anyone of us ever expected. It is so important to work the whole time as a team; uncover small problems and search for solutions to solve them. Our teamwork bases on trust but also on motivating each other to keep the spirit high. We spent most of the last year together and became great friends, or rather a small family. Without this relationship we would have never achieved what we have so far.
We are grateful for our incredible generous sponsors and we appreciate the time and effort they put in to the support of the team. Without them we would not be able to compete in the competition nor accomplish the project on the standard we did. To Participate in Formula one in schools is one of the greatest opportunities for all of us and we want to thank all those who made that possible!
